Using the formulas in Wiedemann I've reproduced the Optim value of 15.8 
keV total lost in the 2 cm vertical chicane.  Photon critical energy is 
17.6 keV so easy to shield. Does the window at the end of the target 
take care of it?  If I'm doing the geometry right, about half the 
photons from the first dipole and all of the ones from the second will 
make it to the target, so ~1/3W.

I'm going to have to put this aside, aka punt to the collaboration, to 
generate a couple of magnet models looking for the x-y coupling source 
in 2R.
