RC Report for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019

>From today’s 8 AM meeting, and input from JP & Brad:

The MCC schedule is still on track. They will try to turn the NL RF on early, tomorrow swing, in order to improve the prospects of being able to fix the NL energy by late in the day on Friday. The SL will be 1031 MeV- already cold and happy. Stay tuned.

They plan to start setting up beam starting Saturday through next week, aiming to do a spin dance (Halls A & B only) on Saturday 11/30, then send a couple shifts of 60 uA to Hall A 11/30-12/1, and start Monday 12/2 with 1 pass to A, 5 pass to B, and 2 pass to Hall C.

On our side, the fiber bundle should get installed tomorrow. JP has scheduled the laser inspection for Friday, although a large number of interlock switches need to go on the removable panels of the laser hut before then. Brad reports the SHMS NG Cerenkov is in and being flushed. He's tested the DAQ.

I'm looking into hot checkout- how much still needs to be done? The upstream beamline still needs work, a spool piece needs to be made, girder alignment, pumpout, and the Moller quad needs to be cooled down. We're working on setting the operational restrictions.

JP wanted me to let people know that initial target training will probably be scheduled the week of Dec. 2nd, once the target is operating.

I reserved the meeting room above the counting house for RC meetings starting Friday, Nov. 29 from 4:15-5:15 every day until May.

The new PD announced that next week's Wednesday 1:30 meeting (on 11/27) will happen immediately after the 8:00 meeting so people can leave early that day...
