Chris released a new version of myaPlot that requires new X11 extensions than are not turned on by default in Exceed 14. As a result the keyboard does not work properly with Exceed installed prior to last week. Both the Exceed 14 and 15 installers now fix this issue by default. Exceed 15 should be the choice for installation going forward. There are directions in the Exceed install folder and the Wiki has been updated (https://accwiki.acc.jlab.org/do/view/SysAdmin/HowToInstallExceed).
There are two solutions for this issue. The easiest is to upgrade to Exceed 15 (see below). The other is to enable XKEYBOARD extensions in Exceed 14. You must have admin to do either procedure.
----------------------------
Enable XKeyboard Extensions:
----------------------------
1/ Right click on the Exceed Icon and select Xconfig (or find this in the file menu and run it.
2/ Click File and Select Mandatory Settings.
3/ Select X Protocol and then select the "Extenstions" Tab.
4/ Check the XKEYBOARD box and then click on "Save."
5/ You must then exit and restart Exceed.
----------
Exceed 15:
----------
1/ Open a shell as administrator.
- Right Click on "cmd.exe" and select "Run as Administrator"
2/ Map L drive as administrator by typing this command in cmd.ext
- net use L: \\jlabapps\apps
3/ Run installer frm the command window.
- L:\eXceed\15.0\ACC_Exceed_64_Install.cmd
