I don't know of a way to reset a single serial connection, but the console servers tend to have system-wide woes.  I couldn't even log into this device's web page before the reboot.

We can figure something out for software on-call to reboot these, but the need is a pretty infrequent event.  After discussing this with Anthony, we'd like software on-call to page us to reboot the console servers.

Thanks, Adam. Is there any way to reset the serial connection from the console server end without rebooting? It would be nice to try that next time we find one. 

In either case, it would be helpful if we could wrap this functionality to make it accessible to software on-call, similar to how ioc_console works.
