The CNI group is not planning to shut down any central services or systems in regards to Hurricane Florence forecasted to impact the east coast later this week.. All central services are protected by two separate power feeds and a generator and should stay online.  The same can be said of network services in the major buildings on site.  Some systems may not be on the emergency power loop and, thus, may experience service outages if JLab loses power.  The IT Division is recommending that desktop systems be shut down and any UPS be turned off and unplugged if the lab announces a move to HPC-3.

Please let me know if any special considerations need to be made in order to keep any Hall operations online in the event of hurricane conditions and any possible loss of power.
