ACG colleagues:

Paul Vasilauskis is trying to fill some open PD slots for the remainder of this year.  This is a good opportunity to take a break from your day job and get involved in a different way.  The SAD PD is a somewhat easier assignment than physics running PD.  No real experience is necessary.  The main duties involve collating information and presenting it at the 8am and Wednesday 1:30 meetings.  I am circulating this in case anyone would like to volunteer.  There is no expectation on my part.

There is still no official schedule published, but my best understanding is that all the remaining shifts this year are likely to be SAD.  Reach out to Paul, or let me know if you are interested.

Colleagues,
I've had a recent upcoming PD drop out due to anticipated work conflicts with their PD time slot. I've had other potential PDs show an interest but then that was it. With all the new faces we've been seeing, I would like to think there are plenty of new staff who would benefit from getting a little more involved in daily activities outside their home organization. Get their face seen by others and be able to see and connect the faces of others with their areas of responsibility giving them knowledge and connections outside their immediate work organization.

Please take a look at your new staff and co-workers and see if there are any who would benefit from being a Program Deputy.

Heck, maybe you could use a change of pace from your boring morning routine by doing a PD refresher yourself! Why just listen to the 8:00 am meeting when you can run the 8:00 meeting!
