We raised the building AC problem with Facilities and management. Hopefully this will get prioritized in work planning. Until then, I reiterate my comment about working environment - if it becomes uncomfortably hot for you, feel free to work from home.

Mike Sprouse and his crew has been listed as tier 1, but I do not know where exactly that puts them on the priority list. I have copied and will discuss with Joel Dolbeck who is on the SAD oversight team that prioritizes the LOTO
recertification.

Would the folks being evaluated this week be allowed to remedy this issue? Or is a contractor required to do it?

Hi Eduard / Carroll,

I’ve heard that addressing AC issues in building 87 is dependent on LOTO recertification, but if possible can we prioritize this activity? Please see the report from Brad below. Beyond the issue of functional electronics, temperatures in the high 80s are
not a suitable office environment.

Building was upper 80’s this afternoon.
Telecom room is 87F.

Looks like both building AC units (north and south side) are off. Only 1 unit in telecom room is on.

It’s starting to smell like hot electronics on our side of the building and I am starting to get upper threshold alerts from the firewall.

It won’t be long before we start burning up equipment.
