  Below is a message I hope clarifies a review from PAC44 for
PR12-17-012A. Apparently, an intermediate version of the TAC report was
sent out. In the message below, Christian and Ted attempt to clarify the
issue and provide a revised review.

Dear Susan, Dear Raphael,
Dear PAC45 Members,

This message is to resolve the confusing situation regarding the PAC45
Theory review
of PR12-17-012A "Tagged EMC measurements on light nuclei" (see our
earlier exchanges).

The confusion arose because Ted's earlier PAC45 report on PR12-17-012A
quoted from a
PAC44 report on PR12-16-011 that had actually *not* been circulated in
this form at
the time of PAC44.

Attached is our revised report on PR12-17-012A for PAC45. It was
reviewed by Robert
and supersedes Ted's earlier report as the official TAC report for
PAC45.
Kindly advise the PAC to disregard the earlier report and refer to the
revised one
for all purposes.

Neither Ted nor I were aware of this version mix-up, which did not
originate with us.
We sympathize with Raphael & colleagues and thank him for insisting on
clarifying this
extremely confusing situation. We trust that the PAC's assessment will
not be affected
in any way.
