Mike,
Can you just have someone send me a description of the Alert numbering scheme? If it's easy, they could annotate this pic and send it back to me.
Cheers,
D

Hi Dave,
ALERT has a weekly software meeting at 11:00 on Mondays, and I think there's one tomorrow (Michael?). If you're available to attend tomorrow, that might be a good place to get a good answer (I don't have one!).
Here's a recent ALERT mailing list email, with the zoom link:

I could also forward your email to the ALERT mailing list and see what bites, if you prefer.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Alert numbering
Dear colleagues,
The numbering scheme I had in my first implementation of the 2D Alert view (see attached which is hand annotated) is not the same as what I find in the banks. Not surprising since I have been out of the loop. In particular, I originally had the concept of "superlayer" which is not in the data.
I assume the geometry of the picture is correct as I am getting it from the database at startup. But correct me if I am using old geometry.
DC:
My numbering: sector: all 1, superlayer 1-5, layer 1-2, wire 1-99
Data: component = wire, superlayer: none, layer numbers like 42, 52... is this 10x(my superlayer) + myLayer?
TOF:
My numbering: sector 1-15 as shown (although I need to shift the labels a bit), superlayer 1-2, layer 1 (for superlayer 1) and 1-10 (for superlayer 2) paddle 1-60.
Data: component = paddle, superlayer: none, layer numbers like 11, 22...s this 10x(my superlayer) + myLayer, if so is superlayer 2 layer 10 = layer 30??
If you can give a detailed pic, even hand drawn, that explains the numbering system I should be able to display events almost immediately.
Best,
D
