Mohammad,
Thanks, looks nice. So, even at this stage, RGL is at the same level as RGA pass 2. Further improvements in calibration and AI training will make things look better.
Regards,
Stepan

Hello Stepan,
I did one more iteration over full statistics and updated vz cut [-45, 45] cm. The results are attached and very close to what Mathieu sent you, confirming your guess.
Best regards,
Mohammad.

I do not have a clear picture of the target, but if I take a 45 cm long 4He gas at 5.5 atm and two 50um Al windows, at 500 nA, the luminosity will be ~10^35. So, at 250 nA, we are running about the same luminosity as RGA at 50 nA (if my math is correct). If I take Mathieu's efficiency numbers at 250 nA, the average slope will be about 0.16% per nA in RGA(B) scale.
By the way, the efficiency calculation should not depend on the target length selection, as the inefficiency is from occupancies in DCs, and the occupancy, the background hits, are coming from the whole target region, including material outside of the target.

Stepan

Hello all,
I have produced the efficiency that compares AI and CV plots using the first 100 files for each run.
AI is in red, CV is in black, and green is AI/CV.

Hello Mathieu,
The luminosity data are cooked. The dst recon files can be found under
/volatile/clas12/rg-l/lumi_scan/dst_with_atof/recon/
if needed this is the beam currents for the different runs;
21464 lumi scan 50 nA
21465 lumi scan 100 nA
21468 lumi scan 150 nA
21469 lumi scan 200 nA
21471 lumi scan 250 nA
21472 lumi scan 300 nA
21473 lumi scan 350 nA
21475 lumi scan 400 nA
21476 lumi scan 400 nA
21478 lumi scan 450 nA
21479 lumi scan 500 nA
Thanks,
Mohammad.

Hello Mohammad,
Ok, I will do that as soon as the data are ready.

Hello Mathieu,
Thanks for sharing the exact steps with us.
That would be nice of you if you runs them this time quickly.
We will notify you once that the data are cooked.
Best regards,
Mohammad.

Hello Mohammad and Noémie,
The analysis of the luminosity scan is relatively straightforward. Here are the main steps:
- First, use the aiTracking software developed by Raffaella: https://github.com/raffaelladevita/aiTracking<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_raffaelladevita_aiTracking&d=DwMFaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=qHqRBgKtWsUDDWqxK25wcueyCpKNc_BlllfLAMbODJc&m=jF-pUBnpCoBN0jerbQ2hKlNIuSXAnVSiDPT1ZXpQlWlqatxSbcX94Vn-PNVIPB-B&s=GQwEiPnqWusocYiMv26p35yOQg7fbBN0lBp_bm4OrIs&e=>
- Then, process each run at a different beam current using the following command:
./bin/aiTracking -plot 0 -o prefix /volatile/clas12/rg-l/production/path/to/the/luminosity/scan/.hipo
- To generate the plots showing the slope, run:
./bin/aiTracking -histo 1 -lumi "2:data,5:data,10:data,20:data,40:data" 2nA_histo_file.hipo 5nA_histo_file.hipo 10nA_histo_file.hipo 20nA_histo_file.hipo 40nA_histo_file.hipo
If you want, we can talk about it in a Zoom meeting, if you'd like more details.
Or I can produce the plot this time to get things started.
Best regards
Mathieu Ouillon

Hello Mathieu and Lamiaa,
I believe Mathieu has done the analysis of the luminosity scans analysis for RG-E. Would you be able to help ALERT in doing this analysis on our data?
Best regards,
Mohammad.
