The contest to name the 10 new C100 cryomodules is nearing an end.

As reported earlier, staff and users submitted several hundred names for 
consideration.

There were so many names submitted that a committee was chosen to sort 
through them and make recommendations.

The committee has now completed its work, recommending 40 names divided 
into four themes.

Each theme has 10 names, and the themes are:

JLab Descriptions
Physicists
Nuclear Physics
Historic Places and Faces.

In January, when the lab returns from its holiday break, a final vote 
will be taken using the online SurveyMonkey tool.

Those participating in the vote will be able to pick one theme.

By selecting a theme, you will be voting for all 10 names in that group.

A complete list of all the names, as well as explanations about the 
meaning of the names, will be provided on the final ballot.
