[All_jlab_accounts] JLab Mail w/Incomplete Address Returned to Sender as of Nov. 1

To expedite U.S. Postal Service mail delivery at Jefferson Lab, 
beginning Thursday, Nov. 1, all incorrectly/incompletely addressed mail 
sent to the lab will be returned to sender. To receive mail from the 
USPS, all JLab postal mail must be properly and completely addressed.

If you are in doubt about your or anyone else's correct JLab mailing 
address, please open your Internet browser and use the Staff Search 
<https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/staff/staffsearch.cfm>or JLIST 
<https://misportal.jlab.org/jlist/>functions to look up correct USPS 
mailing addresses.

A complete mailing address should include:
Some variation of the lab's name,
Your name or workcenter's name,
The street address for your workcenter/office,
Your postal suite,
And the last line is Newport News, VA 23606.


To be delivered, the address MUST include your suite number in the address.

Don't use the Internal Mailstop on postal items; having this info in the 
address will prevent it from being delivered by the USPS. If you wish to 
continue receiving mail from vendors that are using an incorrect 
address, it is important that you provide the correct address to these 
vendors.

Effective Nov. 1, the Post Office will stop delivering mail to Shipping 
and Receiving. If you have any questions, contact Carl Iannacone at 
x5430 or Bill Brisiel at x7233.

Linux System Users: Individuals using Linux systems will need to access 
their Internet browser and copy and paste the above Staff Search link 
into their browser to access the Staff Search utility that includes JLab 
postal mailing addresses.

An example of a correct mailing address would follow this format:


Jefferson Lab

Attn: Recipient's Name Here

Street Address Here

Suite Here

Newport News, VA 23606
