[All_jlab_accounts] Use Discretion When Leaving JLab this Afternoon

Jefferson Lab management currently plans to keep the lab open this 
afternoon (Friday, Jan. 25).

However, due to the weather forecast for later today, JLab management 
has decided to allow staff the discretion to depart early if they feel 
it necessary for driving safety. Anyone who decides to leave early 
should coordinate this with their supervisor. (For details, see the

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for 
all of southeast and south central Virginia, North Carolina and southern 
DelMarVa.

The local forecast calls for snow to start falling today after 1 p.m. 
and continuing through 1 a.m. Saturday. Continued temperatures in the 
20s and low 30s will allow snow to accumulate; 1-3 inches is 
anticipated. Snowfall or a mix of snow and sleet could be heavy at times 
and reduce visibility, especially during the evening rush hour (6-8 p.m.).

Hazardous driving conditions will develop later in the afternoon and 
continue into the evening. Please use caution and allow extra space 
between you and vehicles in front of you.  Please monitor the weather 
and driving conditions for the areas and roads you will travel on your 
way home today.
