2015 Hurricane Season Ends 




The National Weather Service has determined “Hurricane Season” to be June 1 - Nov. 30. Jefferson Lab participated in observing this season by elevating its preparedness level to Hurricane Preparedness Condition 1 (HPC-1) on June 1 . Now that hurricane season has passed, the lab's status is being downgraded from HPC-1. This year, we only had to prepare for one major event. Thank you to all who helped to secure items around the site in preparation for Hurricane Joaquin, with a special thank you to the Hurricane Wardens, who led efforts to secure specific areas.
