Last Chance to Sign Up for Free Sentara Optima Health Screenings at JLab 

Optima Health is offering free and confidential health screenings at Jefferson Lab on March 23 . The 10-minute screenings will take place in CEBAF Center, room F113. At this screening, you will learn more about blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes risk, Body Mass Index, tobacco cessation, and the benefits of regular physical activity. 

An appointment is required for this screening. The deadline for making an appointment for this free service is Thursday, March 11 . To schedule an appointment, email Occupational Medicine with your preferred appointment times (1-4 p.m.) at jnewman at jlab.org or jbanks at jlab.org , or call them at ext. 7539 or 5585. 

The tests that will be done include: blood pressure checks, cholesterol finger stick, and body mass index studies. These tests will take approximately 10 minutes and the nurses providing the services will discuss the results with the participants. There is no prep required for the screenings. The other topics will be briefly discussed. 

This free service is open to Jefferson Lab employees as well as users and subcontractors.
