[All_jlab_accounts] JLab community invited to stop by and say thank you to Lab Director Hugh Montgomery, March 30

You are invited to an informal thank you event on March 30 honoring Hugh
Montgomery for his service as Lab Director. Beginning April 3, Mont will
transition from Lab Director into his role as scientist supporting the
Directorate.

 

Mont has served as Jefferson Lab Director since September 2008. During his
time here, Mont led the laboratory through the conclusion of the 6 GeV era
and most of the 12 GeV Upgrade Project, construction of the Technology and
Engineering Development Facility, and many other facility and
infrastructure improvements. These efforts have transformed the lab for
decades to come, and will enable unprecedented research opportunities for
the nuclear science community.

 

Please join us next Thursday in the CEBAF Center Atrium from 3:00 p.m. to
4:30 p.m. as we thank Mont for his years of dedicated service as Director
and help him usher in the next phase of his career at Jefferson Lab.
