There will be intermittent Zimbra email and calendar outages between
12 p.m. (noon) and 1 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 31) for Jefferson Lab
computer account holders.

Based on feedback during the training sessions, the CNI group is
making some configuration changes to Zimbra before the calendar
migration takes place this weekend. These changes are best made
while staff, users and the Zimbra experts are on-site to identify
any side effects and quickly resolve them before the weekend. The
most visible change will be the elimination of "z.jlab.org" in
Zimbra for email and the calendar.

Once the configuration changes are made, users logged into the
Zimbra webpage will have to re-login. Thunderbird (IMAP) users may
also have to restart their mail client. Mobile devices will need to
be reconfigured so that their mail and calendar clients use the
"jlab.org" domain instead of the "z.jlab.org" domain.

Updated configuration information for mobile phones will be posted
at: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
If you should experience any problems after 1 p.m. please first
re-boot the application. If the problem persists, then contact the
IT Division Helpdesk for assistance, ext. 7155.
