
<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div><i>Sent on Behalf of the Computing and Networking Infrastructure group</i></div><div><br></div><div>An unexpected warning on some of the central file servers will necessitate an additional outage during the maintenance period tomorrow evening. The CNI group now expects there will be an outage of the central group, site, and apps areas (K:, L: and M: drives) for about an hour starting at 6 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns about this outage, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155.</div><div><br></div><div>As a reminder, a full maintenance period is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 16, 5-10 p.m. During this maintenance time, the Zimbra mail servers will be unreachable for about 15 minutes while they are restarted to apply a configuration change. The scratch files server (jlabscr, /scratch) will be unavailable for approx 30 minutes while additional hardware is installed. As a result of this upgrade, central services that mount /scratch may need to be rebooted. This includes jlabl1-4, and the public Linux systems, publ1-3. Additionally, Firefox and Adobe Flash Player will be updated and Windows and Linux patches will be released. Plan on rebooting your systems as soon as is convenient once the patches have been installed. If you have any questions or concerns concerning this maintenance period, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></body></html>
