As you may know, Jefferson Lab will hold a dedication for the
Technology and Engineering Development Facility (TEDF) on Oct. 16. <br>
<br>
In preparation for that event, the lab will conduct a mandatory,
lab-wide cleanup beginning Monday, Sept. 30 and concluding at the
end of the work day on Friday, Oct. 4. <br>
<br>
The cleanup will involve all divisions and all employees.<br>
<br>
All managers will be responsible for ensuring the participation of
their individual staffs. <br>
<br>
Test Lab and TED Cleanup Goals: Clean up individual work areas, as
well as to remove scrap wood, cardboard, metals and other
non-essential items – both indoors and out. Remove all materials
from on top of lockers. Submit storage requests for items that are
not currently needed.<br>
<br>
All Exterior Areas Lab Wide: Neatly organize those materials that
are stored outside. Remove scrap wood, cardboard, metals and other
non-essential items.<br>
<br>
If you need assistance in determining what needs to be done to clean
up your area, contact Bob Sperlazza in Facilities Management at
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:sperlazz@jlab.org">sperlazz@jlab.org</a> or x6241.<br>
<br>
In the Test Lab and TED Buildings, Tom Renzo also can be contacted
for assistance at <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:renzo@jlab.org">renzo@jlab.org</a> or x6594.<br>
<br>
All recyclables and trash are to be brought to the Central Materials
Storage Area (CMSA), where staff will assist you in placing wood,
paper, cardboard, separated metal (aluminum, stainless, copper,
steel and wire) and other recyclables in their proper bins, and
trash in the proper dumpsters.<br>
<br>
The cleanup also provides an excellent time to identify Tagged
property (equipment and/or furniture, broken or usable that you no
longer need) to be submitted for excess processing. To prepare for
the removal of excess items, please complete an Excess Request (and
work order if selected on the form) available online at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://mis.jlab.org/mis/apps/cis/property/transfer/">https://mis.jlab.org/mis/apps/cis/property/transfer/</a><br>
<br>
This cleanup is not optional. Everyone is expected to participate.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.<br>
