This message is being sent on behalf of Jefferson Lab Chief
Operating Officer Mike Dallas.

Public Affairs Manager Dean Golembeski is leaving the lab to take a
position that is closer to family. Please join me in thanking Dean
for his years of service to the lab and in wishing him well on his
future endeavors.

Dean led the Public Affairs program at the lab during a dynamic
period that included breaking ground for Hall D and starting work on
the 12 GeV Upgrade, celebrating the lab’s 25th anniversary, and the
groundbreaking, construction and completion of the TEDF project as
well as the open house events held in 2010 and 2012. He envisioned
and oversaw the development of a series of brochures to highlight
signature lab programs, and a series of displays that make public
areas of the lab professional, visual and informative. He has
organized and supported visits by ambassadors, governors,
Secretaries of Energy and numerous VIPs.
The lab will soon begin a search for a new Public Affairs manager.
The search committee is being formed and the position will soon be
announced. Until this position is filled, Kandice Carter has agreed
to serve as acting manager. This will be effective this Friday,
February 14. Kandice has served as the lab’s science writer for 10
years and been an integral member of the Public Affairs staff. If
you have any questions or concerns about Public Affairs, please
direct your inquiries to Kandice.
