Important Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Notice:

The Jefferson Lab roadway improvement project is proceeding and the next 
major construction activity is planned to begin tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 
4.  Rattley Road will be CLOSED to all vehicles and pedestrians Dec. 4-7 
so the contractor can install storm drain pipes under the road. This 
work is weather dependent.

Residence Facility residents wishing to walk to CEBAF Center and other 
on-site facilities will have to walk along Hogan Drive and around the 
VARC Building to get to CEBAF Center and other JLab facilities during 
this period.

For safety concerns, Rattley Road will remain closed to all regular 
vehicle traffic until further notice. Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 8, Rattley 
Road will be used only by the construction company, residents walking to 
and from the Res. Facility and by commercial delivery trucks that have 
coordinated deliveries with JLab. All other vehicles must use Hogan 
Dr./Lawrence Dr. or Onnes Dr./SURA Rd./Lawrence Dr. to get to the CEBAF 
Center, EEL and Test Lab parking lots. A pedestrian pathway will be 
marked on Rattley Rd.

Also closed to all traffic until further notice, due to construction 
activities, is the north side of the East Arc on the Accelerator Site. 
 Only access to service buildings is permitted. When driving on the 
Accelerator Site, please follow the posted Detour Signs onto CEBAF Blvd. 
and adhere to the one-way traffic flow on the accelerator loop road.
