[All_jlau] JLab Computing: Microsoft Windows patches

Microsoft has released several critical patches recently for Windows  
systems. Due to the nature of these patches, the CNI group has decided  
to send them out to all Computer Center-managed Windows machines  
starting Sunday, Jan. 17. If you work on one of these systems, please  
log out of all desktop computers at the end of your workday, but leave  
them powered on over the weekend so that the patches can be installed.

If you experience difficulties with your computer on Tuesday morning,  
reboot to see if that fixes the problem before calling the Help Desk  
(x7155) for assistance.
