[All_jlau] JLab Cybersecurity Alert: Emergency Patch for Internet Explorer

Microsoft has released an emergency security bulletin, MS10-018, to  
address vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7. Due to  
the nature of this vulnerability, the CNI group has decided to send  
out the patch to all Computer Center-managed Windows machines starting  
tonight. At the end of your workday today, log out of all Windows  
desktop computers, but leave them powered on overnight so that the  
patch can be installed.

If you experience difficulties with your computer in the morning,  
reboot to see if that fixes the problem before calling the HelpDesk  
(x7155) for assistance.
