[All_jlau] JAG Run-A-Round Info: Online Registration Closes Today

The 25th annual Jefferson Lab Run-A-Round will be held on Wednesday,  
May 12, from 2:30-6 p.m. The event is open to laboratory staff, users,  
full-time contractors and immediate family members. It will begin in  
front of CEBAF Center at 2:30 p.m. with the debut of the 2010 T-shirt.

** The 2.5 kilometer (~1.5 mile) run/walk will start promptly at 3  
p.m. A map of the route is attached. Please note the earlier start  
time for the race and the altered race route. **

The Peninsula Track Club will collect official times at the finish  
line. Awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in  
each age group and to the top three overall fastest male and female  
finishers. Staff and users that participate can receive a free 2010  
JLab T-shirt by turning in their Run-A-Round bibs at the T-shirt  
distribution tent right after the run/walk. Food and beverages, music  
and the awards presentations will follow the race on the field behind  
the SURA Residence Facility.

Registration & Race Bib Pickup
Runners who wish to be eligible for awards have until 5 p.m. on  
Tuesday, May 11, to register online. Staff, users and full-time  
contractors may register themselves and their family members via the  
online registration form. All participants must pick up their race  
bibs on Wednesday, May 12, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the CEBAF  
Center lobby. A non-award late registration option will also be  
available Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby.

Event Will Temporarily Close JLab Roads
During the run/walk (3-4 p.m.), portions of the following streets will  
be temporarily closed to traffic: JLab's main entrance (Onnes Drive),  
SURA Road, Lawrence Drive, Hofstadter Road, Rutherford Road (including  
the entire parking lot between the VARC and CEBAF Center) and the  
connector roads on the north and south sides of CEBAF Center. If you  
need to leave JLab during this time, please park your car in one of  
the ARC parking lots. Family members participating in the event are  
also asked to park in the ARC lots and walk to CEBAF Center. Parking  
at the SURA Residence Facility is only for registered Res. Facility  
guests. Race flow will be routed to avoid contractors departing the  
lab at the end of the contractors' work day.
