Another wave of very effective phishing emails has been directed at DOE laboratories. Please remember to never click on a link purporting to be from Jefferson Lab that doesn't have a clear Jefferson Lab address in the link. Jefferson Lab IT staff will never send you an email asking for your username and password. If an email does not appear to be legitimate or requests that you input your user information into an unfamiliar webpage, always forward the email to security at jlab.org and await a response before taking action.
Additionally, as we enter the holiday season, we expect to see an uptick in phishing activity. Some may be in the form of E-cards or Online Greeting Cards. Such E-cards may ask for personal information or contain viruses/trojans that get installed while displaying animation. Please do not open E-cards or unsolicited emails.
