CNI Maintenance Period Planned
The CNI group is planning a maintenance period for 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20. During this time, some web and database servers will be unavailable while patches are applied. Several of the JLab terminal servers will also be offline while the underlying virtual machine hardware is updated. The jlabprt print server will also be offline for a short time (30 minutes) while a new server is installed and tested. Additionally, patches for all Windows, Linux and Macintosh systems will be deployed. Plan on rebooting your desktop system on Wednesday, Sept. 21, to finalize the patch installation. For further information, contact the IT Division Helpdesk, x7155.
American Red Cross Blood Drive
The next American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. in CEBAF Center, Room F113. New and repeat donors are encouraged to attend. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment, contact Johnie Banks, x7539.
Lost and Found
A sturdy, black plastic case containing a battery and charger was found Monday in the ARC parking lot. The case may be identified and retrieved from Lost and Found at the CEBAF Center reception desk.

Congratulations to Jason Willoughby, David Fazenbaker, Linda Ceraul, Ron Bartek and Tonya Evans, who were the first to correctly identify the Sept. 7 location.
