Dear Colleagues,

Following discussions with Accelerator and Experimental Physics division 
leadership, and with information discussed at the recent Shutdown 
Oversight Board 2015 meetings, we have decided that the CEBAF 
accelerator operations will start on November 9, 2015.  The five weeks 
of beam operations  before the Winter break will be devoted to 
establishing a fully operational 12 GeV CEBAF;  measuring beam 
properties and establishing physics quality beams at design energy.

With input from 12GeV Project, the Chairs of the Scheduling Committee 
are developing a strawman schedule including experiments for the 2016 
“Spring” run.

Before it is finalized, potential negative impacts of the strawman will 
be scrutinized.
