*Jefferson Lab Road Work Update: Rattley Rd. Closes July 18; Lawrence 
Dr. Opens July 15*

Effective Monday, July 18, 2016, Rattley Road off of Hogan Drive will be 
closed to all traffic for about two weeks for rebuilding and repaving 
work. (Rattley is the road at the entrance to the SURA Residence 
Facility. During this time everyone will need to use other routes to 
enter and exit Jefferson Lab. See attached map.)

Detour signs for entering and exiting the lab will be posted along 
Jefferson Ave. and Hogan Dr. as well as along appropriate lab roads.

The Lawrence Drive entrance will open as of Friday, July 15.

*Entering JLab While Rattley Rd. is Closed*

Vehicles may enter and exit Jefferson Lab via the main entrance at 
Lawrence Dr. and Jefferson Ave. at any time.Vehicles may enter and exit 
JLab at Hofstadter Road at Hogan Dr. from 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday – 
Friday. Vehicles may enter only at Hogan Rd. and Lawrence Dr., 6:30 a.m. 
- 6:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.

*Entering the Lab After Hours*

Effective July 18, the only after-hours access to Jefferson Lab will be 
via the lab’s main entrance at Lawrence Dr. and Jefferson Ave.

*Deliveries While Rattley is Closed*

All deliveries shall be made using Hogan Dr., then making an immediate 
right onto Lawrence Dr. (by the ARC building), then a left onto Pauli 
Drive followed by a right at the Pauli/Rattley intersection.

Arrangements can be made through Security for large trucks (50 feet in 
length and larger) and equipment to enter the lab using the Canon Blvd. 
entrance to the CEBAF Accelerator Site.Staff expecting large deliveries 
are asked to notify their delivery vendors of the alternate entrance. 
All traffic entering the lab from Canon Blvd. – from Oyster Point Road – 
must make a right turn into the lab.You are required to call JLab 
security at 757-269-5822 for assistance in getting the Canon Blvd. gate 
opened.

*Exiting the Lab*

All personnel and their personal vehicles, and smaller delivery 
vehicles, can exit the lab by taking the left on Lawrence Dr. then 
exiting onto Jefferson Ave., or from Hofstadter Rd. then left onto Hogan Dr.

Tractor trailers exiting the lab will need to exit via Pauli Dr. then 
left onto Lawrence Dr./Jefferson Ave.

*Residence Facility Parking During Rattley Rd. Closure*

The parking lot to the SURA Residence Facility will be closed during the 
rebuilding of Rattley Rd.  Residence Facility patrons and staff can park 
in the CEBAF Center parking lot while Rattley Rd. is closed. Use the 
sidewalk to access the Residence Facility from the CEBAF Center parking lot.

All members of the Jefferson Lab community are reminded to stay out of 
construction areas.
