At this stage, the project is well established with Critical Decision-3 in hand and construction well under way. Recently Glenn Young arrived to take up the position of Associate Project Manager for Physics. It is the perfect time for Rolf to turn his attention to working on the campaign to establish an Electron Ion Collider at Jefferson Lab as a major piece of the future of the field. To do this work, he will be assigned to the Physics Division office starting on October 1, 2009. Rolf will continue to be available to the 12 GeV Upgrade, and is keen that the future path be smooth and so we can envisage a transition with a long tail.
