The upgrade to Jefferson Lab's building and controlled area
access system continues.<br>

The installation process began June 23 and is scheduled to be
completed in mid-August. First on the schedule after the
Fourth of July holiday will be CEBAF Center, Building 12.
Sections of CEBAF Center will be handled at a time. On July
5-6, the doors to the A and B Wings of CEBAF Center will be
out-of-service for card-reader change out. During that time,
please use the main CEBAF Center entrance. (See the schedule
below for the remainder of the schedule.)<br>

Known as the Central Alarm Notification System, or CANS, the
system provides each member of the Jefferson Lab community
with a badge that ties together access control, safety and
training. The system also integrates with fire alarm systems
and video surveillance. </span></font><font size="+1"><span

current Jefferson Lab ID badge will continue to function with
