The password changes are going through very well with only a few
problems. As the problems appear to be coming from a variety of
external connection issues, if your attempt fails please include the
following pieces of information:<br>
<ul>
<li>Put your lab username in the subject line to the
<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:helpdesk@jlab.org">helpdesk@jlab.org</a> email as "Password change attempt failed -
username"</li>
<li>In the body of your email include:</li>
<ul>
<li>The exact error message you received when attempting to
change your password</li>
<li>The operating system and browser you were using</li>
</ul>

All Staff and Users,<br>
<br>
The systems now are ready to change passwords as the next to last
step for reestablishing full Internet connectivity for the lab. If
sufficient staff and users update their passwords, Internet
connectivity to and from the lab will be made available at 3:00 pm
ET Monday, 7/11. Connectivity will be delayed by one day if the
number of passwords updated by 3:00 pm Monday are insufficient. <br>

Change your password now in order to keep your account active and to
help reestablish Internet connectivity. After 3:00 pm Monday (or
delayed at the most by one day as indicated above), if you have not
changed your password, you will need to contact the helpdesk by
phone (757-269-7155) to reactivate your account. Please use the
following link to change your password (it works both on and
off-site):<br>

IMPORTANT: If your attempt to change your password fails, please
alert the helpdesk immediately by sending an email to <a

with the subject "Password change attempt failed".<br>

Other notes:<br>
<ul>
<li>On the password web page, you will need to enter a valid
password and check a box that says you agree to the "<a
tabindex="99" title="Click on this link to open a window to
view the JLab Computer User Responsibilities"
href="https://cc.jlab.org/jlabcomputeruserresponsibilities"
target="_blank">JLab Computer User Responsibilities</a>"
before a submit button will appear that will let you change your
password. </li>
<li>Do not use three or more consecutive letters that are in your
name, for your new password.</li>
