[All_staff] Email Issue And JLab Cybersecurity Alert: Phishing

Jefferson Lab email accounts started to receive targeted phishing emails yesterday.  Blocks were put in place overnight to quarantine the phishing emails, but one of the blocks also quarantined legitimate emails.  The block was corrected and the emails were then released from quarantine email accounts.  All the emails have since all been delivered.

As a reminder, we all need to be suspect of unsolicited and unexpected emails.  When reading your email from home during the shutdown you do not have the same protections you have at the laboratory.  Do not click on the URLs contained within suspect emails. 

Any time you receive a suspicious email (spam or phishing) forward the message to spam at jlab.org.
