All,

Due to increased security levels in France, it is critical for the U.S.
State Department / Embassy of Paris to have the ability to quickly and
directly verify each traveler’s safety. Therefore, the U.S. State
Department has implemented new requirements for travelers going to or
through France. Failure to follow the requirements or provide the
requested information could result in denial of country clearance and
jeopardize future travel.

To ensure JLab and its travelers are in full compliance with these
requirements please read and follow the guidance located on the Travel
Webpage Foreign Travel tab or click on the following URL:

      https://www.jlab.org/div_dept/cfo/travel/foreign.html

The documents include;

France Added Security Requirements (Email from Kim Walterthum),

FAQs Tri Mission France Security Requirements, and

US Embassy Paris RSO Security Handbook.

Please also pay particular attention to the requirements for any
traveler who will be in France for more than 10 BUSINESS DAYS, as they
will be required to transit to Paris to receive a security briefing from
the Responsible Security Officer (RSO) at the Embassy. Briefings are
only held Tuesday mornings so travel plans will have to be adjusted
accordingly.*All FTMS Travel Requisitions and Electronic Country Clearance (eCC)
requests must be submitted to the State Department at least **TWO WEEKS**prior to departure.*

Do not hesitate to contact Sasi Wojcik x7437 or Pam Turk x5370 if you
need any further information.

Regards,
Pam Turk
