*Invitation to Human Performance Improvement Orientation Course

*

Dear Colleagues,

A vital component of any organization's success is their people; you
accomplish the work here at the lab that permits us to meet our
objectives and goals. As part of our commitments in the Lab Agenda, and
in order to help strengthen the human-centered approach, we are
sponsoring a Human Performance Improvement Orientation course.  Human
Performance Improvement (HPI) is a very powerful approach that
recognizes that as humans, we are all error-prone, and that our systems,
processes and responses should recognize this fact in order to reduce
the severity and consequence of mistakes.  HPI applies equally to
safety, quality and our performance in our jobs.  This 4-hour course
will provide you with a fundamental understanding of human performance.
To minimize impact, the course has been split over 2 days.

This education is just the beginning as we apply this philosophy across
the Laboratory.  Your participation is critical if we wish to influence
change. You can register for the class, Worker Level Human Performance
Improvement, through the Learning Management System
<https://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/index.html>https://misportal.jlab.org/training/viewSkill.seam?skillId=4044&from=viewClass.
Please make sure you set aside time in your schedule to attend.  I look
forward to seeing each of you there.

If you have any questions, please contact Paul Collins (paulc at jlab.org
<mailto:pcaulc at jlab.org>).

- Stuart
