this year a regional power failure and ensuing events caused confusion
concerning the building evacuation procedure at Jefferson Lab. Most
individuals will work their entire careers and never experience a fire
emergency. However, if you see fire or smoke in a building, please
activate a fire alarm box on your way out of the building. Activate the
alarm
by pulling the lever/bar on the manual pull station located next to the
exterior doors of all JLab building. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"
style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span
style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Once
outside, please head toward that building's assigned Muster Point.
Muster
Points for each building is located on Emergency Evacuation Floor Plan
maps
found throughout each building.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif";">Activating
the Fire Alarm pull box will immediately alert several JLab responders
to
investigate and will simultaneously move the buildings occupants
outdoors and
away from the fire and smoke. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
