<div>Dear Colleague,</div><div> </div><div>We would like to inform you that a Workshop, "Searching for </div><div>a New Gauge Boson at JLab", will take place at Jefferson </div><div>Laboratory in Virgina from September 20-21, 2010. </div>
<div><br></div><div>More information about the workshop can be found at</div><div><a href="http://conferences.jlab.org/boson2010/">http://conferences.jlab.org/boson2010/</a></div><div><br></div><div>The goal of the workshop is to review the three fixed-target </div>
<div>experiments that have been proposed at JLab to search for a </div><div>new gauge boson with masses in the MeV to GeV range:</div><div>APEX (in Hall A), HPS (in Hall B), and DarkLight (using the FEL). </div><div>This will further inform a decision at the laboratory on which </div>
<div>experiments to pursue in detail. The workshop will focus on </div><div>the technologies of each proposed measurement, and the </div><div>issues perceived as potentially standing in the way of conclusive </div><div>
results. The relevance of each of the proposed experiments </div>
<div>will be discussed, as well as the degree of overlap and </div><div>complementarity.</div><div><br></div><div>If you would like to attend, please register for the workshop at </div><div>the website above. If you have any questions about the </div>
<div>workshop, please do not hesitate to contact one us by email. </div><div><br></div><div>Best regards,</div><div><br></div><div>Andrei Afanasev</div><div>Rouven Essig</div><div>Peter Fisher</div><div>John Jaros</div>
