Hi Ellie,
Since we said we'd all take a look at the numbers, I see this for the
x = 0.1 point, for 12 beam hours:
N = 12*3600*1000Hz = 43.2E6 (using your total rate).
The exact stat. error, based on
f*Azz*Pzz/2 = Np/Nu - 1
so
Azz = 2/(f*Pzz)(Np/Nu - 1)
is
dAzz = 2/(f*Pzz*Nu)*sqrt(Np + (Np/Nu)^2*Nu)
~ 2/(f*Pzz)*sqrt(2/N)
where Np ~ Nu ~ N.
Substituting N above, Pzz = 0.2, f = 0.29 (optimistic, it's more like 0.25)
dAzz = 0.0074
Your plot shows dAzz ~ 0.005, which is consistent with having yet to
include the sqrt(2) factor.
So I think the times and errors are right, assuming the rates are too.
