I have added to the wiki the link to T.J. Liu's NIM article on beam
heating depolarization. I suggested him to solve the Fourier heat
transport equation analytically using Maple V, which he programmed and
solved. See last item in the "Target Physics" section here

I recommend reading it because it has a discussion of optimizing the
running conditions with electron beams for maximum average P.
