Dear colleagues,
we are not having the meeting tomorrow Aug 29 (too many people still on
vacation!).
We'll resume our regular weekly meeting from Tuesday September 5.
Here below some updates and issues to discuss in the next meeting:
- the BDX-Hodo is fully mounted and operational. It has been calibrated
showing that the cosmic peak is in the range of ~200pe for each counter.
It is being collecting cosmic data from two weeks ((~2M triggers do
far) showing a negligible contribution to the expected rate from the
beam-related muons.
- the vessel interface ( flange) has been designed by Tim and ready to
be machined in Genova in early September
- muon test at JLab drawings and plans have been prepared by JLab
Facility and are almost ready to be sent to the companies (we finally
got an account number and a budget assigned to the project!)
- BDX-Hodo final geometry implementation in GEMC is underway
- Extensive beam-related bg FLUKA simulations are running
- accelerator schedule is not yet firm but rumors indicate that the 12
GeV will be available in the experimental halls starting from December
1st. We need to check with Thia Hall-A's plans to be ready with wells,
detector and full infrastructure by then
- the new fADC board, currently being designed by Rome/Genova electronic
groups is in a good shape.
- due to the concomitance with the Gluex weekly meeting in the same
day/time we should find an alternative time slot for our meeting.
Talks to you next week
Cheers
Marco
