Dear all,
I would like to submit an abstract for the upcoming 16TH PISA MEETING ON
ADVANCED DETECTORS (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.pi.infn.it_pm_&d=DwIDaQ&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=Ru7nA6zPBSFajtw1o6aZjchIV9Cs2SBk2RiVldzQhDc&m=G3g5p1xhnBZKLxkKnRRDBebtpG7BCqYNSix4fluBtVwypWBi5wkO3yjLiRuUi0zC&s=ktesfeJAIgSXpDNkwuvZUhFm9cQ4rMFAmKulaNglYO0&e= ) presenting BDX detector.
I send you the abstract I would like to submit. Let me know if you have
any suggestion before this Friday.

Title: The BDX detector for Light Dark Matter search at JLab

Abstract:
The BDX experiment will be the first modern large-scale electron beam
dump experiment explicitly aimed to search for Light Dark Matter (LDM)
within the MeV-GeV energy range. Scheduled to operate between 2026 and
2029, BDX will utilise a 10 GeV beam with currents reaching up to 65 uA,
and will accumulate over 10^22 electrons on target (EOT) over the full
running period. Positioned downstream of the Jefferson Lab experimental
Hall-A beam dump, BDX will run parasitically alongside the Hall-A
experimental program.
The BDX detector is optimised for Dark Matter detection and achieve
remarkably high efficiency in background rejection. It will feature a 1
m^3 active core composed by CsI(Tl) crystals, surrounded by a highly
hermetic, multi-layer veto system.  The innermost layer is made by a
passive lead shielding, while the middle and outer layers consist of
high-efficiency plastic scintillators designed to detect charged
particles.
In this contribution I will show main features of the BDX experiment and
the detector.  I will present the different variables that can be
reconstructed and utilised in signal identification and background
rejection. Additionally, AI-supported techniques  to enhance background
rejection and increase the experiment's sensitivity to Light Dark Matter
signals will be presented.

Let me know if you would change anything. I await your reply.
Best regards,
Marco S.
