A couple people asked for a run down of the games we've played so far:

First meeting we played *Carcassonne *a tile-laying meeple game
Second - *Tsuro of the Sea* (the boats/tiles/path game) and *Concept*
(putting down markers and cubes to try to relay the concept on a card)
Third - *Coup* (card game where you lie about what characters you have
in front of you and try to assassinate the other player's characters)
and *Saboteur* a card game where you're trying to dig a path through a
mine to some gold, unless you're the saboteur, in which case you're
trying to stop everyone so you can take the gold for yourself (without
revealing you're the saboteur to everyone)
Fourth - *Going, Going, Gone* (try to win bids and collect sets of items
by dropping the most cubes in cups before the auctioneer closes the
auction) and *Codenames* (two captains trying to get their team to guess
secret words from a 5x5 grid of words using only a one word clue and a
number)

Discovery Channel: "Try to imagine what this field looked like
100 million years ago. First of all, it would be covered in
ferns because grass hadn't evolved yet..."
Me: "Grass hadn't evolved yet? GRASS?!? How much of a loser do
you have to be to aspire to evolve INTO grass one day?!?"
