Hi all,
Further to Theo's email, I'd just like to state (more clearly than on
Tuesday) some possibilities. Tl; dr: just email me at cqplatt at jlab.org if
you're interested - and you don't need to have played before! :)
- Hoard of the Dragon Queen: the first proper 5th edition adventure, set
in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, running from levels 1-7.
"In an audacious bid for power, the Cult of the Dragon, along with its
dragon allies and the Red Wizards of Thay, seek to bring Tiamat from her
prison in the Nine Hells to Faerun. To this end, they are sweeping from
town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a
hoard of riches for their dread queen. [...] Never before has the need for
heroes been so desperate."
- The Rise of Tiamat: the sequel to the above, running from levels 8-15.
If people are interested in starting at a higher level to bypass the
lower-level slug, it wouldn't be too hard to work with this.
"The Cult of the Dragon leads the charge in an unholy crusade to bring
Tiamat back to the Realms, and the situation grows more perilous for good
people with each passing moment. [...] It is a race against Evil. Succeed
or succumb to the oppression of draconic tyranny. Win or lose, things will
never be the same again."
- 'The Homebrew': a self-written campaign I've played through twice with
some friends back in the UK, so it should be fairly well ironed-out now.
This is the most adaptable option if anyone is desperate to try out some
custom class or murderhobo their way around.
Friday evenings was mentioned, but any evening works for me (weekends
preferred). Email me if you're keen, or have any questions!
Thanks,
Charles.
