Dear all,

since we won’t meet again until NEXT week, here a quick news flash: I met with Patrizia just now and we agreed on a date certain for our Experimental Readiness Review: Wednesday, May 31. Make sure you block this date on your calendars! We will have roughly 1/2 day of presentations from perhaps 4-6 “system experts”. Our goal is to convince the committee (to be formed by Patrizia) that
1) We have a viable, final design that can be frozen at that point (including a time line how to build the detector)
2) We are on track to go from data taking to publication in a short amount of time
3) All safety concerns have been addressed.
Holding the meeting on May 31 should give us enough time to address any action items that the committee might propose, in time for us to be ready for the scheduling request (sometime in July).

We will receive a charge to the committee by April 30, and then we can lay out the presentations to answer the individual items on that charge. We have until May 24 to produce and collect all necessary documentation, including COO, ESAD, RSAD and ERG. We have until May 30 to freeze all slides and forward them to the committee. 
We will be working with our Physics Liaison (Stepan), Hall Leader (Volker), Hall B Engineers (Cyril and Bob), RadCon, and a Hall B Accelerator Liaison as well as CLAS12 DAQ experts on preparing all of the required documentation and in particular integration into CLAS12.
