Dear all,
   Following my report on the simulation, I report that the issue was on
the custom build of clara that we are using
/work/clas12/byale/software/fork/Clara2021_27Sept_v62.0/plugins/clas12/bin/recon-util

I tried using the clara build that was the official in our previous pass1
cooking (/group/clas12/packages/coatjava/6.5.13/bin/recon-util), and I am
clearly reconstructing the protons inside the rtpc. Here is my quick look
at the ep sample of data that Sebastian has generated with additional 20
accidental protons per event
