The date is now fixed - please mark your calendars:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span><b class="">Monday, December 12 2016, all day in room F113 CC, Jefferson Lab.</b></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The goal of the meeting is to have presentations and discussions as well as exchange of expertise on topics that are of common importance for both collaborations, in particular everything having to do with design, simulation, testing, prototyping, construction and operation of GEM-based RTPCs and their ancillary equipment. We will have perhaps 1-2 short presentations on the physics and then each group could give an overview of their RTPC design and status. This will be followed with more focussed sessions on GEM amplification, design and properties; readout schemes and electronics; simulation and track reconstruction; and mechanical design. In particular, we hope to have a “DREAM tutorial” and discussion of the operating principle and parameters of the DREAM chip FEUs and their implementation into the DAQ systems (TBC).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Thia and I are jointly organizing this meeting. For now, we would like to know</div><div class="">- if you are planning to attend (for an approximate head count)</div><div class="">- if you would like to (or are willing to) give a presentation on any of the topics listed above (or another relevant topic)</div><div class="">- if you have any suggestions for the agenda</div><div class="">Also, we are gauging the interest in having refreshments (coffee, tee and cookies) during the meeting, which would require us to charge a small fee (maybe $30?).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Please respond within the next week.
