Colleagues,

Thanks for your attendance at today's meeting. In short we have canceled
Beam Studies for tomorrow. On next Tuesday we'll stop to do LOCO/RayTrace
measurements in ARC7 for 3 hours followed by RayTrace measurements to 1R
and a 6T kicker magnet measurement in parallel. Meeting minutes below.

Thanks,
Mike

BTeam Meeting Notes

* 6.5 weeks remaining before 6-month SAD (pending firm budget)
We have ~1mo of carryover in the event of a government shutdown.
There will probably be a slew of people burning vacation over
  the summer.
* 2011-03-30 Wed 14:00 BTeam Meeting Minutes
** Call for Strategic Priorities for BTeam
Todd is soliciting input on priorities for studies before the 6
month SAD, emphasizing strategy rather than tactics. Items
   currently on the list include:
*** Support of current experiments
*** CEBAF baseline
*** Additional bunchlength measurement, optimization
*** ORFP/Troubleshooting Guide Update
*** Pathlength Correction with MO
*** LOCO/RayTrace data, improvements
*** Optics machine/model improvements
*** Mott polarimeter precision
** Optics-on-Call Report: Byung/Yves => Shahid/Geoff
Machine ran smoothly during the week with one exception. The 1st pass
extraction tune had degraded and we were unable to deliver 150 uA to
Hall C without BLM trips. Ops retuned the line to clean up the scraping.
** Beam Studies Report
*** Outstanding ToDo items from previous beam studies
**** TODO Review/establish planned 12 GeV optics match procedures in
     spreaders/recombiners.
**** TODO CASA review (Yves? Tief?) of Arc1/Arc2 data from
[[https://cebaf.jlab.org/elog/elog_item.php?elog_id=1572645][e1572645]].
Done again Mar 11.
**** TODO Discuss impact of inj fopt correctors, cost/benefit of replacement
Jay to work with Ron on developing the AtLis for making this change
during the summer.
**** TODO Revisit [[http://cebaf.jlab.org/atlis/task/8346][ATLis 8346]],
PZT if parity quality deems this necessary

** Beam Studies Planning
*** DONE Continue 70 MHz MO Test Plan
[[http://opsweb.acc.jlab.org/CSUEApps/atlis/task/10814][AtLis 10814]]
(Curt and Tomasz)
Earlier work was sufficent to lower the 60 Hz peaks by a factor ten.
*** Measure 6T Kicker response vs. frequency
[[http://opsweb.acc.jlab.org/CSUEApps/atlis/tasks/11002][ATLis 11002]]
(Mike Spata)
    Deferred to Tuesday April 7.
*** Setup Inejctor for High Current (Yan and Jay)
Deferred until after April 18 when Hall A ramps up to 60 uA while Hall
C at 150 uA.
*** Measuring 0L03/0L04 and capture/quarter transport: Yves
     [[http://cebaf.jlab.org/atlis/task/9621][ATLis 9621]] and
[[http://cebaf.jlab.org/atlis/task/9622][ATLis 9622]]. What is Yves's
availability? How high is the
priority for Hall C, checks of parity quality?
Not needed unless Hall C parity quality does not meet specification.
Brad reports
that the beam is presently within specification.
*** LOCO/Ray-Trace optics tests: Yves, Ryan, Tief
     [[http://cebaf.jlab.org/atlis/task/10708][ATLis 10708]]: Continued
optics evaluation of machine, particularly Arc3.
     Scheduled for Tuesday, April 5.
*** Low-current BPM test: John Musson
     [[http://cebaf.jlab.org/atlis/task/10890][ATLis 10890]]: Check
dynamic range of BCM/BPMs from 50-200 nA with
good accuracy at Qweak helicity flip rate for g2p, Hall A.
** APEL Hall Liason Comments
*** Hall A: Yves
*** Hall B: Tief
*** Hall C: Jay

** AOB?
*** TODO Injector configuration documentation: Reza
Document proper operational injector configuration (6.3 MeV energy,
crested within 5 degrees, etc): Reza et al (PAC paper in progress!)
