1 Optics on Call Report/Schedule
* 24 Jan-31 Jan: Edward/Alex (Outgoing)
o Steady production run period; No calls
o Periodically performed optics check; beta match, disp,
coupling (from fOpt measurements) + path-length check,
e-logged at BTlog
* 31 Jan-7 Feb: Yuhong/Geoff (Oncoming)
o Perform optics check; beta match, disp, coupling every time
fOpt measurement is taken + monitor path-length (e-log
results at BTlog)
* 07 Feb-14 Feb: Balsa/Todd
* 14 Feb-21 Feb: Fanglei/Mike Spata
* 21 Feb-28 Feb: Todd/Jay
2 Hall B to 5th pass ~ Feb 1?
* No, still 2nd pass
o Hall B going to 5th pass by Feb. 15 (Hall C 3rd pass)
3 Beam Studies Report 25 Jan 2012
* C100 Test (Mike Spata)
o Very successful test; both cryomodules brought to max.
gradient, jitter studies performed, C100 subject to
instability (along with C50 and C25 cryomodules in both NL
and SL). Future work on ring buffer to be done within the
next 2-3 weeks and then Part IV for C100 test will be
carried out.
* Ray Trace (Ryan)
o Baseline Ray Trace measurement with1S correctors executed.
Purposely introduced mismatch (1R04 quad changed by 20%)
served as a calibration for the Ray Trace data.

o Review of test plan 'M56 inj. Optics - Part II' (Yves)
o include Ray Trace measurement to characterize inj.Optics

* Inj Optics with G-Gaps modeled - Alex
o New model of M56 optics including rigorous implementation of
edge focusing of the chicane dipoles including specific
H-Gaps for MBL and MBK dipoles. Significant asymmetry of the
chicane quads (especially 0R02 and 0R06 - about 30 % asymmetry))
