[Bteam] BTeam meeting Tue May 8 2012

BTeamers,

Yes, there will be a BTeam meeting tomorrow, Tue May 8. This meeting will
be held in Arc 728 since the the MCC conference room was taken over by the
Save/Restore meeting.

The current on-call list for the remainder of the run is
   - 01-08 May: Balsa/Alex
   - 08-15 May: Fanglei/Geoff
   - 15-18 May: Ed/Mike Spata

Note that this means that there are currently two study periods on the books
for this week (Weds May 9) and next week (Weds May 16). C100s have made good
progress in pushing gradient over the past several weeks, and PEPPo has also
made good progress in preparing for their dedicated run. We're hoping to get
time to gather final optics baseline data for the machine before start of the
long shutdown.

Tomorrow's agenda includes
   - Yves: LOCO analysis of ARC4/ARC6 MBB dipoles
   - Ryan: RayTrace analysis/data improvements with SVD

We will also be discussing the plan for optics studies for Weds May 9. Yves
has queued up several LOCO measurements for ARCs 5 (MBB dipoles) and 7/9/8
(MBA dipoles). Each measurement takes about 45 minutes, and though some could
be done opportunistically, we should make the case for dedicated measurement
time for this optics data so we can prepare for 12 GeV startup with good
settings based on the model from these measurements.
