Dear BTeamers,
There will be a BTeam meeting this afternoon at 1:30 in the MCC conference
room. Joe will discuss summer injector plans and schedule, and we will
discuss possible beam studies to suggest during the present downtime.
We are currently down after failure of a transformer feeding CHL1 yesterday.
NL/Injector are on CHL2 and at 2K, while SL is on CHL1 at 4K. RF recovery
will dominate the day today (particularly in NL) but there may be some time
for opportunistic studies in upcoming days while the response and repair for
the transformer situation are orchestrated. Those opportunistic studies will
naturally also depend on other activities and availability of ops to support
beam, but we should still make productive use of any time available if possible.
Please consider if there are any test plans that you can execute productively
for studies in the injector and NL/east arc. Beam to the 1R dumplette may be
feasible, for instance, so we might consider continuing with dispersion and
M56 tuning tests that were interrupted yesterday if possible under those
conditions.
