[BTeam] replacement for DB/DJ?

Sarin Philip approached me yesterday about replacing the DB coils 
because of thermal, not radiation, damage due to the high currents used 
at the end of the linacs.  It occurred to me this morning that the 
replacement 15 degree bend I've been working on for Joe, which has 3" ID 
and a coil former 4.4" long, would work nicely.  DB has 928 G-cm at 10 
A.  The new magnet has 942 G-cm at 3A with 5.5" long cylindrical iron 
flux return.  I attach the coil former drawing and a partial draft TN 
about the design.

The unit price would decline a lot if we bought 30-40 of these things 
instead of 3.  There are 5 DB and 5 DJ in the 123 MeV region.  There are 
12 DB and 3 DJ in the linacs.  An H/V pair of these would be about 10" 
in a common steel tube, perhaps an inch longer than a DB/DJ pair.  I'll 
have to look in the 0L region to see if they can fit.  If not, buy 25.
